Casetify has unveiled a striking new accessory that blends fine art with cutting-edge technology—an AirPods Max wrap inspired by Johannes Vermeer’s 17th-century masterpiece Girl with a Pearl Earring. Part of a special collection honoring the Mauritshuis museum’s celebrated artworks, this limited-edition design transforms Apple’s premium headphones into a piece of wearable art.
The wrap is crafted from a soft, pleated fabric that mimics the folds and rich blue tones of the headscarf worn by Vermeer’s enigmatic subject. A faux pearl earring dangles from one side, completing the illusion and allowing wearers to embody the timeless look—if they can master her famous over-the-shoulder gaze.
While it adds a distinctive visual flair, the cover does come with a small trade-off: it conceals the AirPods Max’s physical controls. This means it serves more as a fashion statement and light layer of protection than a purely functional accessory.
Despite its high price—nearly half the cost of the AirPods Max—the wrap sold out quickly, proving that there’s a strong appetite for creative products that merge cultural heritage with modern gadgets.
Casetify’s latest release underscores a growing trend in the tech world: accessories that aren’t just tools, but bold expressions of personal style, turning everyday devices into conversation-starting works of art.
