The ballroom heat turned up in Week Two of Dancing With the Stars as the competition delivered its first eliminations of the season. In a surprising twist, two celebrity contestants were sent home after “One-Hit Wonders Night,” raising the stakes for everyone still in the running.
The Eliminated Stars
Former NBA guard Baron Davis and actor Corey Feldman were the first to exit the competition.
- Davis, partnered with Britt Stewart, performed a Samba to Return of the Mack. Despite his energetic attempt, the judges awarded just 18 out of 30, and viewer votes couldn’t push the pair forward.
- Feldman, dancing alongside Jenna Johnson, attempted a cheeky Cha-Cha to Baby Got Back but struggled with timing and technique. The routine earned 15 points, the lowest of the night, sealing their fate.
High Scores and Standout Performances
At the top of the leaderboard, four couples tied with strong 22-point performances:
- Robert Irwin & Witney Carson
- Jordan Chiles & Ezra Sosa
- Jen Affleck & Jan Ravnik
- Whitney Leavitt & Mark Ballas
Other notable performances came from Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy, Lauren Jauregui & Brandon Armstrong, and Hilaria Baldwin & Gleb Savchenko, each scoring 21 points. Judges praised their elegance and growing confidence.
Meanwhile, Andy Richter & Emma Slater struggled with just 16 points, leaving them vulnerable heading into next week.
Why It Matters
The double elimination so early in the season serves as a reminder that DWTS is as much about audience connection as it is about technical skill. Viewer votes played a critical role in the outcome, proving that even big personalities or fan-familiar faces aren’t safe without strong dance performances.
Bottom Line
Week Two showed that this season of Dancing With the Stars won’t be predictable. With Baron Davis and Corey Feldman gone, the competition is now wide open. As the routines get tougher, only the couples who can deliver both dazzling performances and audience support will stand a chance at the mirrorball trophy.
