Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Major Leaks Reveal Big Upgrades Ahead of Launch

With Google’s August 20 “Made by Google” event just around the corner, fresh leaks suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could bring some of the biggest improvements yet to the foldable market.

Built for Durability

The standout rumor is an IP68 rating, making it the first foldable phone to offer full protection against dust and strong water resistance. This would be a major step up from the more limited protection on current foldables.

Bigger, Brighter Displays

The cover screen is expected to grow to 6.4 inches, while the main inner display remains at 8 inches. Both OLED panels will reportedly have 120 Hz refresh rates and reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent outdoor visibility.

Power and Performance Boost

Under the hood, the device is rumored to feature Google’s new Tensor G5 chip built on a 3nm process, paired with 16GB of RAM and faster UFS 4.0 storage options up to 1 TB. This marks a substantial jump in speed and capacity for the Pixel series.

Camera Upgrades

The triple rear camera system—48MP wide, 10.5MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom—is expected to remain but may get enhanced zoom capabilities up to 10x optical. Two 10MP front cameras will handle selfies and video calls from both the cover and inner screens.

Bigger Battery, Faster Charging

Leaks point to a 5,015 mAh battery, paired with wired fast charging and 15W Qi2 wireless charging support, compatible with Google’s PixelSnap magnetic accessories.

Sleeker Design

Images hint at a more refined hinge, slimmer bezels, and new colors including Moonstone and Jade. The overall shape remains familiar but with cleaner lines and a more premium finish.

Launch Timeline

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be unveiled on August 20, with shipments beginning in October alongside the Pixel 10 series.
