Berlin, September 4, 2025 — Roborock, best known for its robot vacuum cleaners, has officially entered the outdoor market with the launch of three new robot lawnmowers: the RockMow Z1, RockMow S1, and RockNeo Q1. The announcement was made at IFA 2025, marking the company’s first major step into automated garden care.
Flagship RockMow Z1
The RockMow Z1 is the most advanced of the lineup, built to tackle large and uneven yards. Each wheel is powered by its own motor, and the mower features an independent steering system for precision handling. It can navigate slopes of up to 80 percent, while its suspension system keeps the mower stable for consistent cutting. The Z1 is also capable of mowing close to walls—just 3 centimeters from the edge—and uses advanced mapping technology to cover areas as large as 5,000 square meters. With its companion app, users can even program creative patterns or text to be “drawn” into the lawn.
Mid-Tier RockMow S1
Designed for medium-sized gardens, the RockMow S1 offers a balance of power and efficiency. It can cover up to 1,000 square meters per day and handle inclines up to 45 percent. Like the Z1, it trims within 3 centimeters of edges and uses smart navigation to maneuver through narrow spaces, making it a practical choice for most households.
Entry-Level RockNeo Q1
The RockNeo Q1 is the most affordable model, ideal for smaller yards. It comes with AI-assisted mapping, close-edge trimming, and a special “wildlife-friendly” night mode that pauses mowing after dark to avoid disturbing nocturnal animals. It offers many of the same core features as its bigger siblings but at a scale suited for compact spaces.
A Step Toward Outdoor Automation
Roborock’s new line showcases the company’s effort to extend its expertise in robotics from indoor cleaning to outdoor maintenance. With edge-to-edge trimming, slope handling, and customizable mowing patterns, the RockMow series is designed to simplify lawn care just as its vacuums revolutionized home cleaning.
Pricing and release details are expected later this year, but anticipation is already high as Roborock prepares to challenge established players in the robot lawnmower market.
