SpaceX Continues Starlink Blitz with 28-Satellite Launch and Booster Landing

Cape Canaveral, September 4, 2025 — SpaceX has launched its Starlink Group 10-22 mission, deploying 28 next-generation satellites into low Earth orbit and demonstrating once again the power of reusable rocketry.

Quick Launch, Precise Landing

Early Wednesday morning, a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Approximately 2.5 minutes into the flight, the first stage executed a clean separation and, within about six minutes post-liftoff, completed a precision landing aboard the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas stationed in the Atlantic.

Booster Milestones

The booster used—designated B1083—marked its 14th flight with this launch. It’s a highlight in SpaceX’s ongoing reliability streak, now tallying nearly 500 successful booster recoveries in total, including another triumph for A Shortfall of Gravitas.

Part of a Record-Breaking Year

This mission adds to a banner year for SpaceX: the 113th launch of 2025 and the second of five Starlink missions scheduled in this busy week alone. Earlier successful missions, including the launch from California the night before, underline the company’s ever-increasing launch cadence and global connectivity ambitions.

TL;DR:

  • Falcon 9 rocket transported 28 Starlink satellites into orbit.
  • Booster B1083 landed safely on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship on its 14th mission.
  • Marks SpaceX’s 113th launch of the year and reinforces its growing dominance in space infrastructure.
